On June 10th and June 15th, the Alabama Department of Revenue will hold hearings on amendments to certain existing regulations and the issuance of some new regulations.
One of the proposed amendments aims to provide clarity and examples concerning when certain "labor and service" charges of photographers are subject to Alabama sales tax.
One of the new regulations deals with the taxability of aircraft manufactured, sold, and delivered in Alabama. It is assumed this regulation is, at least partially, in response to the impending commencement of operations at the new Airbus facility in Mobile County.
Finally, another proposed new regulation provides composite payment relief to pass-through entities in certain situations.
