Alabama's 2023 Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday

Alabama's Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday begins Friday, February 24 and continues through Sunday February 26, 2023.

Not all cities and counties participate in the annual tax holiday. For a list of those that are and are not participating, click here.

Get to Know Blake

Mr. Madison is a shareholder in the law firm of Rosen Harwood, P.A. He practices in the areas of state and local tax; business and commercial law; non‑profit entities; health care compliance; and privacy and cyber security law. He represents clients throughout Alabama, as well as national companies with Alabama issues.

Blake currently serves as Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Institute on Federal Taxation. He recently served as Co-Chair of the City of Tuscaloosa’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee and is a member of the Mayor's Business Advisory Council. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama (2018) and currently serves as its Legal Counsel. He has also served as Treasurer of the Business Section of the Alabama State Bar.

He was honored with the 2012 Charles H. Land Member of the Year Award by The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, its highest award given to an individual.

He has participated in reported tax cases before the Alabama Supreme Court, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, and the Alabama Tax Tribunal.
