Reminder to remit use tax on holiday gift purchases online

Recently, the Alabama Department of Revenue issued this reminder (click here) that Alabama taxpayers making holiday gift purchases online, from catalogs, or on TV home shopping networks need to remit use tax on those purchases on which sales tax is not charged and collected by the vendor.

Mr. Madison is a shareholder in the law firm of Rosen Harwood, P.A.
